our mission

Our mission is to increase access to ABA services in NWA and to serve as a beacon of hope to our families and the community we serve. Like a lighthouse that shines its light to sailors who may be lost at sea, guiding them into safe harbors, our goal at Lighthouse ABA and Behavioral Consulting is that we may serve as a lighthouse, providing hope and guidance to you and your family, and our community.

  • “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.”

    Matthew 5:14-16

ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is an evidence-based approach known for it's success in treating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. The evidence-based approaches in ABA Therapy are backed by decades of research showing intensive ABA treatment is the most successful approach for children with Autism.

parent trainings

Attend parent trainings to learn more about your child's autism diagnosis, your role throughout this process, ABA terminology, and evidence-based interventions.

school consulting

At lighthouse, our number one priority is increasing access to ABA services within our area. A big way we can do this is by partnering with our local school districts to provide ABA and behavioral services. We are currently serving in several school districts in NWA.

potty training consults

Say no more to diapers! Heres a look at what our BCBA has to say about potty training: "As a mom of a two year old, I understand how frustrating potty-training can be! At lighthouse, we use evidence-based interventions, and utilize the principles of ABA, to quickly get your little one potty trained!" Let us do the work for you!

Social skills group

As your child get's older, it is imperative that they are getting social opportunities throughout their day to help create positive associations with their peers and build meaningful relationships. That is why we are proud to offer social skills groups to mediate and facilitate the power of peer modeling when given the social opportunity!

adaptive aquatics

We are so excited to be offering Adaptive Aquatics coming Summer 2023! We are offering private and social skills group swim lessons that focuses on teaching the basics of swim using ABA principles to assess and teach new skills!

ENROLL IN OUR WAITLIST TODAY!

We currently offer Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) in home, school, and community based settings. Lighthouse serves individuals as young as 2 years old up to 21 years of age. We also offer behavior consulting and various supports for individuals and families who do not have an Autism diagnosis including behavior consults, potty training, parent trainings, and swim lessons!

Who we are

Hi! I’m Makenzie McCutchen, the founder of Lighthouse ABA & Behavioral Consulting. My motivation in starting my own company was to expand access to quality ABA Therapy and behavior supports in our community and to do things differently. My goal from day one has been to serve the underserved and to fill the gaps in ABA services and resources. I have worked in a variety of settings including clinic-based, multi-disciplinary therapy teams, and school districts. I have been apart of several start ups where I was a part of developing the ABA program from the bottom up. Through these experiences I have learned what works and what just does not. My promise to you is to treat your child like my own (pictured), in doing so, promising ethical decision making surrounding your child’s treatment and care.

I got the name Lighthouse (more like stole) from my papa’s church, Lighthouse Cathedral. I knew Lighthouse was the perfect name because of what it symbolizes: hope in chaos, a refuge, and a sign that help is coming. The symbolic meaning of a lighthouse is what I hope will be tangibly represented by our compassionate care and staff.
